The timetable, town to town

ASF's buses along the lake, from Como to Colico, Bellagio and Lugano, on the day you choose, with their arrival.

The buses marked “school days” do not run when the schools are closed; on the holidays of Lombardy's school calendar they are not listed. Traffic can change the times. Authoritative: ASF Autolinee's timetables (PDF).

Scheduled buses serve the shores the railway does not reach: the western shore, from Como to the upper lake, and both shores of the Lariano Triangle.

In the province of Como the routes are run by ASF Autolinee, which also runs Como's town buses. The C110 covers the whole western shore. It leaves from Como bus station, in Piazza Matteotti, calls at San Giovanni railway station and follows the Regina road to Menaggio, by way of Cernobbio, Argegno and the Tremezzina. From Menaggio the route carries on through Dongo, Gravedona and Sorico to Colico station. The C130 runs from Como to Bellagio along the Lariana road, through Torno and Nesso; the D110 reaches Bellagio from Lecco, on the other shore of the Triangle. Other routes climb from the lake into the valleys, such as the C120 to the Val d'Intelvi, or cross the border, such as the C112 from Menaggio to Lugano. On the eastern shore the railway follows the water, and buses serve only some stretches of it. Many stops are close to the piers: you can go out by boat and come back by bus.

How it worksC110, the western shore · C130 and D110, to Bellagio · From the lake to the valleys and beyond · Eastern shore · Tickets · Regional pass, children and dogs
  1. C110, the western shoreComo – Cernobbio – Argegno – Tremezzina – Menaggio – Dongo – Gravedona – Domaso – Sorico – Colico. From Como it takes about 35 minutes to Argegno and about an hour to Menaggio. Many runs from Como end at Menaggio, where the runs to Colico start: about an hour to the end of the line.
  2. C130 and D110, to BellagioC130: Como – Torno – Nesso – Bellagio, in a little over an hour. D110: Lecco – Malgrate – Valmadrera – Oliveto Lario – Bellagio, all year round, in about three quarters of an hour.
  3. From the lake to the valleys and beyondC120 Como – Argegno – Lanzo d'Intelvi, C136 Bellagio – Civenna – Asso, C112 Menaggio – Porlezza – Lugano, C140 Como – Erba – Lecco.
  4. Eastern shoreOn the eastern shore no bus runs from Lecco to Colico: the railway follows the shore. Some lines serve stretches of it: the D120 from Lecco to Abbadia and Mandello, the D121 from Bellano to Varenna and Esino Lario, the D125 from Bellano to Dervio and Dorio.
  5. TicketsA single ticket covers one journey on the stretch shown on it; the day ticket covers unlimited journeys all day on the whole interurban network. Both are sold at the ticket offices in Como, in Piazza Matteotti, and in Menaggio, at authorised retailers and on the company's app. On the C110, C130, C140 and other lines you can also pay on board by holding a contactless card, phone or watch to the green validator: one tap when you board, none when you get off.
  6. Regional pass, children and dogsThe regional pass “Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia” is also valid on urban and interurban buses, but not on the lake's boats. On ASF buses children up to 110 centimetres tall travel free with an adult holding a ticket, and small dogs board on a lead, muzzled and with a ticket.
Good forReaching Cernobbio, Argegno, the Tremezzina, Menaggio, Gravedona and Domaso without a car, and, on the other shore of the Como branch, Torno and Nesso
  • Reaching Cernobbio, Argegno, the Tremezzina, Menaggio, Gravedona and Domaso without a car, and, on the other shore of the Como branch, Torno and Nesso
  • Going out by boat and coming back by bus: at Argegno and Tremezzo the C110 stop is next to the pier
  • Walking a stretch of the Greenway del Lago di Como and coming back on the C110, which stops in every village along the route, from Colonno to Griante
  • Travelling in the evening, when the boats have stopped
  • Going up into the valleys: to the Val d'Intelvi on the C120, to the Ghisallo on the C136, to Esino Lario on the D121
  • Reaching Menaggio from Lugano on the C112, without going through Como
Watch out forEvening and Sunday services are much reduced, and some runs operate only on school days
  • Evening and Sunday services are much reduced, and some runs operate only on school days. The timetable changes between winter and summer: always check the one in force.
  • Buy your ticket before boarding, or pay on board by contactless card on the lines that allow it. Paying cash on board, you need the exact amount, and in heavy traffic paying cash may not be possible.
  • On ASF buses each passenger carries one piece of luggage free, up to 50 × 30 × 25 centimetres. An extra bag, or a larger one, needs a ticket of its own.
  • Only folding bikes and scooters are carried, folded: one per passenger and two per bus at most. They can be refused when the bus is crowded or when a disabled passenger is on board.
  • You board by the front door and validate your ticket straight away. To stop the bus, signal clearly to the driver with your arm; to get off, press the stop button in good time.
  • During local public transport strikes, services can be cancelled outside the guaranteed time bands.
