Menaggio is a hub for ferries to Bellagio and Varenna and buses to Como and Lugano. The centre lies around Piazza Garibaldi and the lakeside promenade; the town has shops, services, a hostel and a lido.

Paths climb behind the town towards Monte Grona.

Menaggio lies on the western shore of the central lake. It has a square overlooking the water, a tree-lined promenade and a lido. Ferries connect it to Bellagio and Varenna, and buses run to Como and Lugano.
