Tremezzina brings together Lenno, Ossuccio, Mezzegra and Tremezzo. Villa del Balbianello and Villa Carlotta stand between Lenno and Cadenabbia; the Greenway links the villages along stretches of shore and hillside paths.

The distance to the villas and piers depends on which village you stay in.

What you gain

  • Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello on foot or a few bus minutes away
  • Ferries to Bellagio and Varenna from the Cadenabbia pier
  • The Greenway runs through here, and in April and May the gardens are in flower

What you give up

  • The villages are spread along the shore and hillsides: check the distance from your accommodation to the pier or bus stop

Tremezzina

Tremezzina is the comune created in 2014 by merging Lenno, Ossuccio, Mezzegra and Tremezzo: five kilometres of waterfront holding Villa Carlotta, Villa del Balbianello, Villa Balbiano, the UNESCO-listed Sacro Monte of Ossuccio and, offshore, the lake's only island.
