Watch the mountains' shadow cross the lake
The sun at an exact spot: your hotel, a beach, a table
The hour is the one at which the sun goes behind that village's own ridge, not the almanac's sunset: computed from the shape of the ground all around it and the sun's position, minute by minute, for today. Where the village's streets lose it more than a quarter of an hour apart, there are two hours: when the shadow enters the first streets and when it has nearly all of them. The calculation takes only the terrain into account, not the weather: it shows where the sun can reach, not whether a cloud is covering it.

The Tivano is a morning wind from the north; the Breva blows up from the south in the afternoon and can strengthen towards the upper lake in fair weather. The forecast uses these names when direction, strength and timing are consistent with the winds.
