Dates confirmed by the organiser.

The exhibition in Villa Monastero's Casa Museo in Varenna commemorates Marco and Rosa De Marchi, whose bequest made the villa available for public use.

Anna Ranzi curates it with Milan's Museo del Risorgimento, housed in Palazzo Moriggia, which belonged to the couple. Autograph letters, period photographs, household objects and family works of art document life in the house. The clothing on display includes two of Rosa's dresses from the early 1900s, exhibited for the first time.

The programme

The display is open from Saturday 26 September 2026 to Sunday 31 January 2027. From Thursday 5 November it adds accessories designed by students of the Istituto Superiore Grafica Moda Design, starting from the history of the necktie. From Thursday 3 December the dining room also has a table laid with an 1897 Richard porcelain service.
