DEVOTA is an exhibition spread over seven places in Bellano, curated by Chiara Gatti from an idea by Velasco Vitali.

Its full title is “DEVOTA. Arte e sacro, territorio e comunità”. The venues are San Nicolao Arte Contemporanea, the Museo Giancarlo Vitali, the churches of Santa Marta, Santi Nazaro e Celso and San Rocco, Sant'Andrea at Bonzeno and the sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime at Lezzeno. The starting point is Lucio Fontana's “Concetto spaziale, Natura”, an egg of 1967. Works by present-day artists answer the churches, the oratories and the Sentiero del Viandante.

The programme

The exhibition opened on Saturday 16 May 2026 and has been extended to Sunday 1 November. In October the churches of Santa Marta and Santi Nazaro e Celso and the sanctuary open every day from 10:00 to 18:00. On Saturday 24 October at 15:00 there is a guided visit with the curator, to be booked.
