Why go

Santi Quirico e Giulitta is Lezzeno's parish church, with a portal dated 1520 and frescoes by Giulio Quaglio.

Rebuilding and extensions took place in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries; the façade was rebuilt in 1929. Only the first two bays have a nave and two aisles: the rest is a single nave with side chapels. Quaglio painted the saints' Martyrdom on the chancel's end wall in 1712, as well as their Glory on the vault, and worked in the chapel of Saint Francis. The frescoes on the chancel's side walls are by an unknown artist.

  • The church of a village on the shore between Nesso and Bellagio, with the Roman stone in its tower.
  • Giulio Quaglio's paintings in the presbytery.
