The carnival of Laghetto, a hamlet of Colico on the upper lake, is held every year on the weekend before Ash Wednesday: the carnival king and queen and fireworks on Saturday night, the parade of floats on Sunday.
The programme for the 2026 edition
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February 2026 the Carnevalissimo reaches its fifty-fourth edition. On Saturday at 14:30 there is the children's carnival, with games and sketches; at 20:15 Re Carnevale's procession through the village and at 21:00, on the oratory field, the opening ceremony with the king's investiture and the proclamation of the new queen, followed by fireworks. On Sunday at 14:00 comes the parade of floats, accompanied by the Villatico band. The dinner has to be booked.
