Every year, on a weekend in March, the FAI opens places across Italy that are usually closed to the public, for a voluntary contribution.
The places change every year.
On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026 the places open on Lake Como are, in Como, the Prefecture with the Prefect's Gardens and the Gino Negretti gymnasium; in Torno, on the Sunday only, the church of San Giovanni Battista and the park of the Prandoni care home; in the Tremezzina, the Torre del Soccorso, known as Barbarossa's tower, and the gardens of Villa del Balbianello, by booking.
