Why go

Santa Marta is Magreglio's parish church, on the village square.

The sixteenth-century building was enlarged and decorated in 1891.

On 12 February 1613 Federico Borromeo separated Magreglio from the parish of Barni; the new parish was established on 27 February within the pieve of Asso. In the eighteenth century it also included the oratory of the Madonna del Ghisallo. Inside Santa Marta are works by the metalworker Eugenio Bellosio, who had ties to Magreglio.
