Como's patronal fair, which ends on 31 August, the feast of Sant'Abbondio, the city's patron saint.
The patron saint's services are held separately, in the basilica of Sant'Abbondio and in the cathedral.
The programme for the 2026 edition
From 27 to 31 August 2026 the fair runs for five days. In the grounds of the basilica, on Via Regina Teodolinda, volunteers cook lake dishes such as rice with perch. On Sunday 30 August, along the walls on Viale Cattaneo, there are a farmers' market and an animal show from 8:00 to 18:00.
