In early January the Magi ride through Esino on horseback to the living nativity, past the village's opened courtyards.

The Night of the Magi is Esino Lario's Epiphany pageant. A procession descends from the upper part of the village with the three Kings on horseback.

They bring presents for the children, stop at King Herod's court and reach the living nativity. Historic courtyards open for the occasion and local dishes are served.

The programme for the 2026 edition

The Night of the Magi is on Sunday 4 January 2026. From 16:00 there is a walk between Esino Superiore (“Cres”) and Esino Inferiore (“Psciac”). From 17:30 the living nativity is at Villa Acquali on Via XXV Aprile and Herod's court at the primary school. From 18:00 the Magi parade, reaching the stable towards 23:00. Entry is free.
