On 17 January Esino Lario celebrates Sant'Antonio Abate, patron saint of Esino Superiore. Mass in the church dedicated to him and the blessing of animals and vehicles take place in the morning.
In the afternoon the festivities continue in Piazza Diaz with the incanto dei canestri, an auction including cured meats, cheeses and animals. The traditional dish is Esino's ravioli di Sant'Antonio, prepared at home and in the village restaurants.
