Why go

The church of San Domenico stands at 1115 metres on a spur of Monte Bregagno, on the Monti di Cremia.

It is a small oratory, a single hall with a short nave and a tiny chancel; in a niche above the altar is a wooden statue. Outside, by the entrance, is a small bell that calls people to the service for the saint's feast, every year on the first Sunday of August. The lake can be seen from the church, and the Via dei Monti Lariani, the path that runs along the western shore of Lake Como, passes a few steps away.

  • The view of the lake from the Bregagno spur.
  • A stop on the Via dei Monti Lariani.
