Villa La Gaeta, San Siro
A private villa built like a castle by the Coppedè brothers on the Gaeta point at Acquaseria: two towers, graffito and frescoes above the lake, seen from outside or from the water.

At the entrance to Acquaseria's old core, on the ancient Via Regina, the little church where travellers gave thanks for getting past the Sasso Rancio: perhaps fifteenth-century, with the date 1622 painted high on its front.
The church of Sant'Abbondio stands at the entrance to the historic centre of Acquaseria, whose Latin name was Inter Serineos, on the route of the ancient Via Regina.
In all likelihood it gave shelter to travellers and a chance to thank God for keeping them safe on the dangerous path over the Sasso Rancio, the way on towards Nobiallo and Menaggio. It probably dates from the fifteenth century; it was restored in the seventeenth, as the date 1622 painted high on the front attests, and altered again in the centuries that followed. On 12 September 1712, at the request of the gentleman Gian Pietro Pedrazzini of Pezzo, the church was granted the privilege of indulgences: to receive them, pilgrims came to Acquaseria even from places as distant as Torno, Garzeno and Musso. It is a simple church, without great fresco cycles.
