The Silk Museum in Como devotes an exhibition to the pleat in cloth. It starts from the way cloth is worked, with material from the museum's archive and films made with Omniapiega.
It then moves on to fashion: six gowns by Roberto Capucci recently acquired by the museum, four loans of Pierre Cardin and Romeo Gigli from the Archivio Loiacono, and the Forme Celate of Umberto Mariani, who has been working on drapery for more than thirty years. The museum is at Via Castelnuovo 9.
The programme
The exhibition is open from Saturday 3 October 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027. During that time the museum opens on Tuesdays from 14:00 to 18:00 and from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00.
