5 January 2027
Bellano
Every 5 January, for more than four centuries, Bellano's traditional festival has staged its scenes in the streets of the old centre, on the jetty and in Piazza Tommaso Grossi.
The event recurs every year in this period, but the dates are not confirmed. Check with the organiser.
The Pesa Vegia always falls on 5 January, the eve of Epiphany.
Its scenes run through Bellano's old centre, down to the jetty and into Piazza Tommaso Grossi — narrow streets, all of them — and in the Giardini di Puncia one of the scenes is a living nativity. Bellano has a station on the Lecco–Colico line.
On 5 January 2026 the Pesa Vegia reaches its 420th year.
