The Christmas float parade is a Christmas Eve tradition in Mandello del Lario: on the evening of 24 December the floats built by volunteers cross the town to Piazza del Mercato.
It is free to watch along the route.
On 24 December 2025 the floats leave Viale della Costituzione at 20:30 and, by Via Petrarca, Piazza IV Novembre and Via Manzoni, reach Piazza del Mercato, where the Alpini group hands out mulled wine and roast chestnuts. The parade goes ahead in the rain, in a plainer form, because it cannot be postponed.
