The 2026 programme
The 2026/27 season, which the theatre calls VOLT for the Alessandro Volta bicentenary, runs from 24 September 2026 to 17 January 2027. The operas are Puccini's Turandot on 24 and 26 September, a hundred years after its first performance; Britten's Death in Venice on 9 and 11 October, sung in English with Italian surtitles; Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri on 13 and 15 November; Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci on 4 and 6 December; and Verdi's Un ballo in maschera on 15 and 17 January 2027. Evening performances start at 20:00, Sunday afternoon ones at 15:30.
