Santa Cecilia concert at Lezzeno
The village's Corpo musicale celebrates the patron saint of music.
Lezzeno
On the Lezzeno shore, at Pescaù, the octagonal little church the Bellini family had built in 1677-1678, with a many-sided apse, an umbrella vault and an eight-sided roof of stone slabs.
The church of San Giuseppe was built at the expense of the Bellini family, probably between 1677 and 1678: the date 1678 is carved on the lintel of the doorway.
It stands on the lake, on the road to Rozzo, and is the work of Lombard craftsmen. It has a central octagonal plan, with a rectangular barrel-vaulted presbytery and a polygonal apse. The octagonal hall has an umbrella vault, as does the apse, and outside a hipped roof of eight sides covered in stone slabs. The walls are of stone, plastered inside and out, and the floor of the hall is laid with square stone slabs set diagonally. The wooden altar of the presbytery was restored in 1990.
