Moltrasio's patronal feast
The feast of the patron saint San Martino in Moltrasio in November.
Moltrasio
San Rocco is a small oratory on Moltrasio's pier square, with a Baroque doorway and a fresco by Giovanni Paolo Recchi.
The building probably has fifteenth-century origins. The doorway has a stucco cherub's head and small scrolls; above it, a shell-decorated medallion bears the dedication to the saint from Montpellier. The single nave ends in a polygonal apse. On the altar, a stucco frame surrounds the Virgin and Child between Saints Roch and Sebastian, a damaged fresco from the first half of the seventeenth century, covered by another painting during the 1926 restoration. A portico joins the church to the Albergo Posta building, already recorded in the Theresian land register. The oratory is also known as San Sebastiano.
