Why go

The Valle dei Molini follows the Pizzallo stream between Moltrasio's houses, where eleven watermills worked in 1722.

In the Borgo, the Pasètt bridge, also called the Rusca bridge, is a probable crossing of the old Via Regina. An early twentieth-century washhouse stands above Piazza Umberto I. On Via Mulino a building houses a micro-turbine installed in 2012 and, since 2013, a historic mill moved from Rungia. Higher up is the Cam waterfall, which powered another mill.

  • Traces of mills, the washhouse and the stream's waterfalls.
  • The Pasètt bridge, a probable crossing of the old Via Regina.

Highlights

  • The Pizzallo waterfall
  • The washhouse above Piazza Umberto I
  • The mill on Via Mulino and the Cam waterfall

Getting there

  • The Pasètt bridge is in the Borgo, a few steps from Piazza San Martino and the parish church. From there a signposted route of the places of water leads to the washhouse, the mill and, further up Via Mulino, the Cam waterfall. The pier is lower down, on Piazza San Rocco.
