The parish church of Griante's upper village, recorded from 1567 and rebuilt in the eighteenth century: the doorway attributed to Domenico Perolino, sundials on the front and an Adoration of the Magi that reappeared under the plaster.

Why go

Santi Nabore e Felice is the parish church of Griante's upper village and retains a fragment of fourteenth-century fresco.

Recorded from 1567, it became the parish church in 1632. Eighteenth-century rebuilding lengthened the nave and choir, raised the walls and added a new vault, new floors and the entrance doorway attributed to Domenico Perolino. Works inside include the Adoration of the Magi uncovered beneath the plaster, the altar of Our Lady of the Rosary and the vault medallions painted by Morgari. During his stays in Cadenabbia Konrad Adenauer came here for Mass, walking from Villa La Collina.
