Why go

At the Piani Resinelli, on the flank of the Grigna Meridionale, the Parco Valentino is a beech wood reaching the edge of the Coltignone.

Once the Gerosa Crotta family's, it now belongs to the Comunità Montana Lario Orientale Valle San Martino, which in 2020, with Regione Lombardia funds, built on the viewpoint a metal walkway that juts out some twelve metres over the drop. Ahead open out Lecco and its branch of the lake, the Moregallo, Valmadrera and, beyond, the Brianza lakes and the plain. The park also holds the Villa Gerosa Crotta visitor centre, open on days and at hours that change with the seasons.

  • The view over the Lecco branch: the town, the Moregallo and the Brianza lakes under your feet.
  • Half an hour on an easy path, fine for children too.

Highlights

  • The cantilevered walkway over the drop
  • The Parco Valentino and Villa Gerosa Crotta

Getting there

  • By car to the Piani Resinelli, then on foot from the Piazzale delle Miniere, behind the tall apartment block: about half an hour on the path.
