Why go

San Bartolomeo is Domaso's parish church, documented from 1247 and remodelled between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.

It holds a Pietà attributed to the Rodari and Giulio Cesare Procaccini's Virgin and Child with Saints Peter and Paul. Above the altar in the Panizza chapel is a late Gothic fresco of the Madonna of the Lily; frescoes with Marian stories are attributed to Domenico Caresana. Two wall paintings in the chancel are by Cesare Ligari, dated 1758. Outside stands the eighteenth-century Chapel of the Good Death, with a Deposition.

  • A short walk from Villa Camilla and the waterfront.
