The stone hamlet on the little peninsula north of Riva Bianca, grown inside a twelfth-century castle, with the Romanesque chapel of Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro and the two warrior saints painted on its front.

Stage two of the Trofeo BCC-Larioservizi brings the Lucie to Lierna in late June. The village is small and the racing is watched from the shore.
Lierna's station, on the Lecco–Colico line, is a couple of minutes from the water.
