Why go

The church of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle is already recorded in the pastoral visits of the sixteenth century.

In 1756, the year carved over the doorway, it was rebuilt larger than before because the population of Torriggia had grown: it has a single nave with one side chapel, on the right, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. The Way of the Cross was blessed in 1781, and in 1929-1930 the front was redone; it now has a stone doorway. Inside are eighteenth-century stucco framing the altarpiece, a few paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and, on the walls leading to the presbytery, twentieth-century frescoes; the wooden statue of Saint Bartholomew is by an artist from Val Gardena. The bell tower, on the right side of the presbytery, is simply plastered and marked by string courses.
