The lake markets

Como has the Mercato delle Mercerie on the avenues round the walls on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and Lecco has its market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

In the villages the market comes once a week or twice a month, each on its own day: from Monday to Saturday there is always one somewhere on the lake.

1. 01Nearly every market is held in the morning and packs up between one and two; Como's Mercerie stay all day on Saturdays.
2. 02On the upper lake several markets come twice a month: Domaso on the first and third Tuesday, Sorico on the second and fourth, Gravedona on the first and third Wednesday, Dongo on the first and third Thursday.
3. 03On public holidays there is no market in Como, Cernobbio, Mandello, Colico or Torno.
4. 04In summer the upper lake adds evening markets on the lakefront: Wednesdays in Dongo, Thursdays in Domaso, Saturdays in Gravedona.
